Trip

little cruise around Cape Town

crowned by the best chocolate waffle EVER!
at the pancake & waffle place in Kalk Bay

Ceramics

this was Clementina ceramics's stand
at the design indaba.
it was simple and brilliant!
of course i couldn't resist 3 of those
little hanging vases...
i'll show them here soon
-photo from here-

Design Indaba

my favorite stand at the Design Indaba,
funky, original & eye catching!

and of course ikhaya

the show was nice but crazy busy on friday...

Cape Town with my husband: super fun & inspiring
as usual :)

this morning

i'm off to Cape Town for the
it's my first visit, not sure
what to expect but i'm very excited :)

ok, there is a very good chance
you've had enough of my sketching...
but i'm so happy with my new skills :)

this week it is all about lines and shading,
no colors.

(don't worry it is only a few more weeks!)

Reading & sketching

i'm reading Shantaram & it is taking me
to the heart of Mumbai's slums.
it inspired me to sketch
these little boxes

as part of my sketching e-course.
loving it!

Shades and shadows

shades and shadows,
playing with the light...

Desk view

getting ready to sketch

and a peep at the practice...

Feminine inspiration

today i am inpsired by designer Lotta Jansdotter.

"her genius lies in exploring the beauty of everyday things"
as it says on her website & that is what i love
about her work & her style

one day i'll have all her books but for
now this one has just arrived
in my postbox!

Travel

a little more on my swiss trip.

i hadn't been to Zermatt for so long
and my husband had never seen it...
so we went off to visit the
iconic emblem of the Swiss Alps:

magnificent & impressive...
we had the most perfect day!
a big thanks to my dad, my brother and Claude
;)

a view from the italian side

but
some of you might recognize it better here

Nature

looking for colors and textures,
inspired by wood...
