Work in progress

It's taken me a very long time...
but I've finally carried on with my big intimidating

Still a work in progress but much happier with where it is going now.

I like the first layer of blue showing through.

And it teams up nicely with my "Pacha" chair?!

Summer

Summer has brought a fair amount of rain and our tropical nature is
blooming, bursting, exploding!

We woke up to this a few days ago...
Glorious!

New project "suite"

Remember my new project a little while ago?
Well here it is!
My handmade "king" cushions for the "Pacha" chair.

Perfect for summer chilling :)

Bird house, bird bath...

I spent many months coiling and building
what I thought would be a brilliant bird bath.

But not only is the bowl to small for the birds,
it has now become the monkey's drinking trough too...

Oh well... he still gives the garden a gentle and serene feel.

Calm

This photo I found somewhere
gives me a sense of serenity and
peace.

The man sitting quietly brings to mind this quote I love:
"Feel the freedom, the spaciousness, the infinite potential of simply being."

Summery Christmas

Might never get used to a
summery Christmas...
Then my tree also has to come with an African twist!

Ready :)

"Bird" House...

This last time my parents arrived with a
gorgeous Vogelvilla bird house for me!

My Mom sells them in her shop,
La Mascotte in Nendaz/Switzerland.

I couldn't wait to put some seeds in it and
watch who was going to fly by.
That is until I realized that feeding birds isn't that simple
in South Africa ;)

The Vogelvilla is a tough little bird house though...
I can tell you that!!
