Italian Princes

this last one went home to Utah with Lorraine
and that makes me so happy!
El Duomo
it's impossible to talk about Orvieto without
introducing the phenomenal El Duomo,
the 14th-century Roman Catholic cathedral.

It is flamboyant and breathtaking in its size and beauty...

apparently it took 300 years to complete,
the interior is even more impressive...
and of course i fell in love with the stripes on the outside,
i had never seen a stripy cathedral before,
how exquisite in the morning light!?
truly breathtaking.
in the art room
this is what my table looked like on the first day in the art room,
full of gifts and goodies, from Misty and also from other participants...
i felt welcomed and inspired straight away!

we loved our art room,
we even had some late nights painting/laughing/moth chasing sessions in there...

of my "Wandering with Passion" week in Orvieto
i'm struggling to put it into words,
it feels that it might shatter the magic of it.
i will simply say that the whole trip was AH-MAZING!!!
i met fantastic people from all over,
Misty's sharing of her talents was incredible to witness live (as opposed to online).

Travels
i am back from my european travels,
heart and soul full of amazing memories.
giving myself a little time to land gently.
it's good to be home, to nest, to snuggle, to be.
unpacking many memories, ideas, experiences, photos, goodies and emotions.
thank you for being here, it's good to be back!

today i am off to Italy
for my week of painting with
Misty Mawn and a wonderful bunch of artists!
and then to Switzerland to spend some time with my family!
i will see you back here in October,

this here yet...
but here we go:
in september i am off Orvieto
for a week of painting with Misty Mawn!!!

i'm all booked and ready
and it's as if it is only becoming real as the time gets closer!
the week is called:
Wandering With Passion: Icon Painting - Creating Art From Soul
Learn to draw with confidence and paint what you feel and see.
we will paint, cook, wander, eat, meet and immerse ourselves in art.
